Thanks to the incredible efforts of Mrs. Duggan, Hershey Public Schools’ Title I teacher, our students have access to 25 new bilingual children’s books—both fiction and non-fiction—written in both English and Spanish. These books were funded through DonorsChoose with generous support from private donations, including contributions from Robyn Cramer, Kaitlin Cruzan, an Anonymous Donor from California, and the SONIC Foundation.
Mrs. Duggan organized the entire fundraiser, driven by her passion for reading and commitment to supporting all students, especially our English Language Learners. Once the books arrive, they will be available for circulation in the school library, allowing students to check them out and enjoy at home or in class.
These bilingual books will help diversify our curriculum and provide valuable resources for students developing language skills in both English and Spanish.
