On Sunday, April 7, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the Hershey School Commons Area will be the setting for a unique and eye-opening event: the Hunger Banquet. Hosted as a Capstone Project by the Ag Leadership Class, this event aims to raise awareness about global hunger and food inequality by providing participants with an immersive experience.

Upon arrival, attendees will receive a note assigning them to one of three socioeconomic classes—poor, middle class, or rich—simulating the varying levels of access to food experienced around the world. Seating and meal distribution will reflect these class distinctions, offering a firsthand perspective on disparities in food security.

The event encourages thoughtful reflection on hunger issues and how individuals can make a difference. Those interested in attending must RSVP to Ms. Paige Aylward by April 3 at paige.aylward@hpspanthers.org.

For anyone looking to gain a deeper understanding of global food insecurity, the Hunger Banquet promises to be an enlightening experience
