Students across Lincoln County competed in the Annual Lincoln County Spelling Bee on Friday, February 4, 2022. The event was a huge success as Hershey attended with representatives in the 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th grade levels!

Students were challenged by others in their same grade level, as they tried to spell each word correctly through multiple rounds. Each runner-up and winner of the corresponding grade level then battled it out with other student in the championship round (grades 5-8)!
The students of Hershey did an outstanding job representing themselves and the district! Riggin Hutchison placed 2nd in his grade level (8th grade), and moved on to the championship round where he ended up winning the overall Lincoln County Spelling Bee! Riggin will be 1 of 4 students across Lincoln County that will compete in The Omaha Sports Commission Spelling Bee on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 9:00 AM. The event will be held at Janet A and Willis S. Strauss Performing Arts Center on the University of Nebraska at Omaha‘s campus.
