Hi, I’m Ashley Steffes. I am so excited to teach at Hershey this Fall! I graduated from North Platte Senior High in 2004. Then attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln graduating in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. I taught 2nd grade at Jefferson Elementary in North Platte the following 4 years, while also completing my master’s degree in curriculum & instruction graduating from Doane University in 2011. The past 8 years I’ve been home raising my family. Our youngest started preschool last year so, I reacquainted myself with the classroom as a substitute teacher at Hershey.
My husband Eric and I have been married for 10 years. We have 3 children, Nolan, Ethan, and Ellie, who all attend Hershey Elementary. Spending time with and watching my family grow is easily my favorite pastime. Although, I also enjoy reading, golfing, decorating cakes, and watching Nebraska football and volleyball.
Teaching and learning have always been a passion and I cannot wait to share my love of learning with the students of Hershey!
Ashley will be teaching 2nd Grade next year at Hershey. We are excited to have you join our staff! Go Panthers!
