Sarah Ostmeyer has accepted the Director of Teaching and Learning position at Hershey Public Schools. Sarah brings eight years of teaching experience from Heartland Community Schools and Centennial Public Schools, where she taught as an English teacher. During this time, Sarah served on district leadership teams, served on an NWEA text dependent analysis and question writing series, and served as department chair assisting to lead the selection of curriculum updates, standards alignment, and evaluation of instructional materials. She also gathered and analyzed data to identify district wide goals and was a member of each district's SAT teams. Mrs. Ostmeyer holds a Master's degree in administration from UNK.
Qualities, characteristics, and traits that Sarah brings to this position are organization, a passion for learning, collaboration skills, ability to develop positive relationships with others, continuous school improvement knowledge, MTSS experience, mastery of the Marzano Instructional Framework, creation of standards-based curriculum, and experience with media and technology.
