7-11th Grade Panther Stakeholders,
During the week of September 16th-20th, your child will take a NSCAS (7 & 8th Grade) or MAPS (9-11th Grade) test. NSCAS and MAPS scores help teachers check student performance by measuring academic achievement and growth. These results are used to tailor classroom lessons and set goals for students.
NSCAS/MAPS Growth reports also provide typical growth data for students who are in the same grade, subject and have the same starting performance level.
We ask that students are in attendance on those day, get 8+ hours of sleep the night before, eat a healthy breakfast, and come with an attitude to do their best on the tests on those days!

This week (9.17 & 9.19), we are finishing up our fall testing, utilizing the NWEA assessment! 🎯 This untimed, adaptive test measures your K-6 child's progress in math, reading, and science (5th grade only) by adjusting question difficulty based on their responses. 🛌 Get Plenty of Sleep: Ensure your child is well-rested for better focus and performance. 🥞 Eat a Nutritious Breakfast: A healthy breakfast fuels the brain for a productive day of learning. 🎉 Encourage & Celebrate: Remind your child to do their best and celebrate their effort in working toward their goals. 🕗 Aim for On-Time Arrival: Make sure they arrive at school on time, ready to start the day calmly.
The Panther softball team ended the day on a high note! Erica & Ellie both went yard to help the gals to an 11-1 win over Lexington. Way to finish ladies!

Hershey Panther Little Cheerleader Camp in progress! Kiddis are havin' fun! Old kiddos too!
Cheer camp info! 📣 Camp starts at 2:30 and ends at 5:30. Cheer girls will get your camper from their classroom and take them to the gym to pick up their shirts and have a snack, before all the activities begin. Please pick your child up at the new activities gym at 5:30. Bring them back to the game at 7:00. They will sit with their parents until they are called down for their halftime show. (Approximately with 4 minutes left in the 2nd quarter). We are excited for a fun afternoon! 💙🖤🤍
HPS PARENTS...Just a reminder for tonight's football game vs GICC, which also is "Little Cheer" night, we ask that ALL STUDENTS in grades TK-6 please sit or be nearby an ADULT during home Panther events!
Students in grades 7-12 will continue to have a reserved section in the far SOUTH bleachers to sit in. TK-6 students who are unsupervised will be asked to return to the bleachers with the adult they came with.
Please know that students with an adult during games provides proper supervision and limits the amount of accidents and incidents that take place during a game when students are unsupervised.

ENTRANCE TO TONIGHTS FOOTBALL GAME!!
Spectators going to tonight's football game vs GICC at Summers Field can enter the facility in THREE LOCATIONS:
1. Park in parking lot WEST of the Activities Center Entrance walk through HS Commons to access the entrance of Summers Field.
2. Park to the NORTH of Summers Field and walk down the concrete access road to the entrance of Summers Field.
3. Park EAST of Summers Field and enter through the MAIN GATE on the EAST side of Summers Field.
Spectators are NOT to walk around the South Side of the Activities Center to gain entrance to Summers Field.
